For over 40 years, the Fresno Regional Foundation has been helping residents give back to the region they love. We are the trusted steward for charitable giving in our region.
Spring 2010 CEO Message:
Our donors give generously of their time and resources and are instrumental in our work to improve the lives of people in the Central San Joaquin Valley. Therefore, our recently published 2009 Annual Report highlighted some of these donors. You can see this year’s annual report by selecting it on the right hand column under Foundation Documents.
Even during this economic adversity, 2009 was a remarkable year for the Fresno Regional Foundation in terms of the amount of new charitable giving from donors and the amount of granting we made to the community. Gifts into the Foundation in 2009 exceeded $9 million and we granted over $6.9 million to deserving organizations. Our endowed funds increased by $3 million.
For everyone who helped make 2009 such a successful year, we would like to say THANK YOU! Still, these difficult economic times continue to adversely affect many here in the Central Valley. The needs are great as is evidenced by the many nonprofit Community Benefit Organizations that come to us for support. Already in 2010, we have had record numbers of applications for our competitive grant cycles.
